Webinar software choices abound. Here's what you should consider.

Over the past few years we’ve seen dynamic shifts in the type and popularity of online content. It’s always hard to predict what’s next in online trends, but one thing we know for sure is that video content is becoming more and more popular, and therefore more and more important to running a small craft business. Many businesses are recording video tutorials or live streaming on Facebook and Periscope, which go a long way toward defining your style and building your brand–essential steps for any small biz.

For many mid-level and established businesses, the apparent next steps in video content are webinar presentations and online meetings, or video conferences.

Online meetings allow you to connect with your clients, your community, or your followers no matter where you are. You can talk with them “face-to-face” in real time either one-on-one or as a group. They can see and hear you and you can see and hear them. The emphasis is on conversation.

Webinars allow you and/or a small group of presenters to speak to an audience in real-time, much like a professor would speak to a class. Attendees are there and are known, but their ability to interact with the class is limited to the tools on hand. The emphasis is on presentation.

There are dozens of online meeting and webinar tools available. We took a look at some of the most popular to compare the prices and some of the most critical features.

If you’re using one of these products, or another we haven’t listed here, let us know what you think in the comments!
