Designers wanted for Knit and Crochet patterns - Bad Sheep Yarn
Bad Sheep Yarn 2026 design submissions are now open, and we’re excited to invite designers to submit proposals for consideration. Below you’ll find a quick overview of the program and where to review our 2026 inspiration and focus areas.

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Our first evaluation date is March 13, 2026.
Compensation:
- Licensing Fee ranging between $150 – $800 depending on complexity, yardage & difficulty
- Tech Editing is provided by BSY in collaboration with the designer.
- Professional photos by BSY. The designer receives all photos.
- Patterns will be sold on the BSY website, with designers receiving 50% of pattern sales.
Rights:
Pattern rights are shared between BSY & designer. Designers retain the right to release and sell the pattern on their own website, sales channels, and Ravelry page.
Submission Requirements:
- A clear image of a swatch or sample of the stitches planned for the design. A sketch of the final project.
- A description of any special techniques involved.
- A proposal outlining the yarn colorways and estimated yardage needed for the project.
- A short description of the design and its inspiration
- Your contact information.
