Lucky Spool Media is a small independent publisher in the crafting space. We release between four and eight titles a year. We are looking for someone to help us with our Marketing and PR on a freelance/hourly basis. Pay to be commensurate with experience. Depending on your skills, the tasks can include some or all of the following and will likely add up to around 25-30 hours of work a month:
Maintaining and issuing monthly newsletter
Responding to media queries
Setting up files and folders of publicity spreads and covers for magazines/publicity
Helping to maintain our social media accounts
Working with our authors on their in person and online promotions
Drafting and working with our authors on press releases for each of our books going forward
Coordinating our catalog to mailing to shops
Creating and maintaining a custom affiliate program
Coordinating author questionnaires
Coordinating publicity mailings with our distributor
Assisting with coordinating marketing materials for tradeshow events (postcards, fun giveaways, booth props etc.)
Suggesting and implementing marketing ideas and promotions
Some tasks are very admin focused (like getting our book images onto Pinterest), some require a lot more fineness (like drafting press releases) and some require great problem solving (like helping us launch an invitation-only affiliate program that coordinates well with Shopify).

Interest in the craft space a plus but a strong willingness to collaborate and professional writing experience is a must (and nothing technical as we are looking for a writing style that is friendly, smart, welcoming and probably even funny).
