Seashore - Our Issue 11 Call for Submissions is now open!
For Issue 11 – our Spring 2024 Issue – we’d love to take you to the sea.
A day spent climbing over rocks to hidden tide pools, a picnic lunch in a secret cove, toes dipping into the water, heart filled with the sounds of the sea. The sun slowly sinking into the horizon, a last look out at the crashing waves, pulling on your coziest sweater for slowly picking your way back through the dunes and biking home.
For Issue 11, we’re looking for…
- Pieces that are versatile and layerable – a breezy T-Shirt for the warm midday sun, a lightweight cardigan for when the sun dips into the sea.
- Contemplative, but playful knits – think of the way the ocean sound makes you feel, the waves calm your mind, the sand tickles your toes.
- The big picture and small details – the “grand-ness” of the sea, of crashing waves, of mountainous cliffs, the “minuscule-ness” of tiny sea creatures in little pools, of delicate lace tips of the waves, of smooth pebbles in your hand.
Knitting Pattern Proposals as well as Essay Abstracts and Illustration Outlines can be sent in until March 5, 11.59pm CET.
