Job Title: Shopify Web Designer/Developer to Lead E-Commerce Website Revamp
About the Role
We are an established yarn brand looking to enhance our Shopify store for direct-to-consumer retail. Our goal is to improve design, functionality, and conversion rates, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for crafters.
We’re looking for an experienced Shopify web designer or developer who can execute a full website revamp, optimizing the store’s aesthetics, usability, and performance.
Scope of Work
Design & Theme Customization
Recommend and implement the best Shopify theme for our brand
Customize the store’s design to create a visually engaging and user-friendly experience
Ensure mobile responsiveness and an intuitive shopping journey
Development & Optimization
Improve product pages, collection layouts, and checkout flow for better conversions
Implement smart filtering, search enhancements, and better navigation
Optimize site speed and SEO structure for increased visibility
E-Commerce Features & Shopify Integrations
Recommend and set up Shopify apps for enhanced functionality (e.g., reviews, subscriptions, bundles)
Implement email capture tools (Klaviyo or Omnisend)
Ensure a seamless checkout experience and cart recovery strategy
Provide a Plan & Timeline
Offer a clear execution plan with timeline estimates
Provide a budget estimate for tools, apps, or additional development work
Work closely with the internal team to ensure the website aligns with branding and business goals
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
✅ Proven Shopify web design or development experience, preferably in yarn, fiber arts, or craft-related e-commerce ✅ Hands-on skills in Shopify theme customization, Liquid coding (if applicable), and UX/UI best practices ✅ Strong understanding of e-commerce conversion principles ✅ Familiarity with SEO best practices for Shopify ✅ Ability to suggest and implement the right Shopify apps and integrations ✅ A portfolio showcasing Shopify projects (preferably in crafts, handmade, or niche e-commerce)
