It all started with an impulsive promise back in 1983. When quilting teacher Roberta Horton told quilt-shop owner Carolie Hensley that she wanted to write a book on Amish quilts, but hadn’t found a publisher yet, Carolie quickly said that she and her husband Tom would publish Roberta’s book. The Hensleys launched C&T Publishing from their garage, with a catalog of exactly one book: Roberta Horton’s An Amish Adventure.
Kansas City Star Quilts is an established and popular line of quilting books and products acquired by C&T Publishing in 2015. Their first book was a collection of classic ‘Star Quilt’ patterns that sold out in two weeks. Then and now, Kansas City Star Quilt books embody technical accuracy, embrace many sources of inspiration, and celebrate the history and fun of quilting.
PatternSpot.com is an online marketplace for pattern designers to upload and directly sell their PDF downloadable designs to avid quilters and sewists.
