Bio

My motto is “No Rules Quilting.” I teach quilting at all levels but always stress there are no rules, no quilt police, and no negative feedback. I have taught beginners to advanced quilters at stores as well as quilt guilds. My pop art pet portrait class is a favorite as well as my orphan block tote bag. I emphasize sustainable sewing encouraging students to use what they have. My classes always incorporate tips and tricks to making the most of one’s stash including using up leftover binding. Many people are intimidated by quilting and think they need a special skill set. I organize my classes in steps to teach students to build on their prior knowledge so that that they leave feeling confident that they can reproduce the skills learned on their own.
