Bio

On a buying trip to Greece for my custom tailoring business, I discovered traditional Greek folk embroideries and fell head over heels in love with their vibrant patterns and stylized motifs. I began stitching my first folk embroidery on the plane ride home and have been designing cross stitch patterns inspired by these historic textiles ever since. The growing interest in my work is exciting and I am delighted to inspire a new generation of stitchers to explore the color and beauty of Mediterranean embroidery through my kits and patterns.
I design, stitch, and create in the workshop of my 1923 home in Salem, Oregon and have had my articles and designs published in the Embroiderer’s Guild of America’s “NeedleArts” magazine, Taproot magazine, and Just CrossStitch magazine. Along with designing and writing, I also lecture on traditional Greek folk embroidery.
