Bio
A life-long textile maker, Kerry studied tapestry at Edinburgh College of Art before studying at Moray House Institute of Education and becoming a High School Art and Design teacher.
Her passion for teaching and encouraging people to be creative with fibre inspired her to start Knitting For All in 2010, through which she trains and supports knitting teachers to run small businesses teaching knitting in their local areas.
She has written two books, “Kids Knit” – a stylish and aspirational book containing age and stage appropriate knitting techniques and patterns and “The Basics” – a knitting handbook for beginners.
Kerry also works full-time as Rowan’s Creative Learning Manager. Her responsibilities include coordinating ROWAN CONNECT events, workshops and presentations, occasionally slipping in front of the camera for Knit Alongs and tutorials.
She lives in Edinburgh with her husband, four children and a crazy collie called Autumn.
