Hi! I’m Amy, the designer behind Purple Pineapple Studio. I specialize in creating easy, beautiful quilts with a modern aesthetic. I live in Wisconsin with my husband and son. I’m a founding member and past President of the Madison Modern Quilt Guild.

My patterns are printed on postcards, with instructions on the back. I love the challenge of printing patterns on cards. It imposes a lot of limitations and creative restrictions on the types of patterns that I can write. Because of this, I need to create patterns that are striking, yet can be boiled down to a few easy to follow steps. I need to explain the directions as succinctly and simply as I can with very clear diagrams and images. It’s not easy! But I’m up for the challenge.
