I would be interested too. What structure do you see it taking?

Hi Kim,
Wow, yeah, that really does help. Thanks. I struggle with that same thing — I am so inclined towards spontaneity and creating things and thinking of things and trying things and making things… and though planning isn’t *totally* alien to me, too much of it kind of icks me out. But I have two assistants who are naturally very…[Read more] -

@kpwerker, if you’re comfortable, I’d love to know what you changed and how you approached it. I often feel timid about asking my folks to do more stuff (or how to structure it), but I know I shouldn’t. And yet I do. Maybe knowing how others have done it will help me.

Stephanie Alford replied to the topic Anyone use SumoMe? in the forum Business Questions 6 years, 12 months ago
I tried it awhile ago and if I recall correctly (and I might not be), I didn’t like how it looked on mobile. But they’ve probably updated it since I tried it and it was really well priced (around $100, one time fee), so it’s worth looking at. It had a lot of nice customisation features. Bad news is it that (at that time) it worked only with my…[Read more]

You could @message one of her Twitter friends and ask if they’d ask her to get in contact with you…?

I tried a bunch of different pop ups (SumoMe, Hellobar, LeadPages, PopUpAlly), and wasn’t sure. Then SumoMe gave me a 2 month free trial of their pro version and boom — I was sold. It has significantly increased my sign ups and has some really beautiful template options. I love love love their Welcome Mat because it’s elegant and easy to…[Read more]

Hi Lisa,
I can’t speak for larger yarn companies, but I can certainly give you our perspective as an indie dye company.
My first thought is that you need to think who your customer is. If you want to design for knitters and crocheters who buy mostly through local yarn shops or big box stores, then you will probably need to approach one of the…[Read more]

I hired my first employee as a contractor, and that really helped allay a lot of my fears. I told her flat out that I didn’t really know how many hours I’d need her to work or how many I’d be able to pay for, so she knew upfront that this was a learning curve for me and we agreed to just take it one month at a time. Doing it that way took all…[Read more]

On a personal level, I think it will really suck if IG goes the same way as my FB feed. I absolutely hate that posts on FB are not in chronological order — makes everything so much more confusing.
From a business point of view, both FB and Pinterest are much more useful for me than Twitter and IG, because they present posts out of chronological…[Read more]

Hello hello everyone. WOW! You guys are amazing, what a wealth of information there is here! My apologies for going radio-silent — we’ve been away at shows (and with the colds we *always* catch at shows!).
Well, I’m listening to all of you and wondering if this is a good fit for me. And my reasons are:
1. I’m not sure that a book is my best…[Read more]
