Bio

Embroidery began as a hobby, a creative outlet, to engage in outside of my 9-5 teaching job. I soon got carried away with the hobby, ordering kit after kit to embroider.

After a few years I began to explore the idea of bringing my own, original embroidery creations to life. To create my designs I begin with a hand drawn sketch. A doodle, more or less, with notes about what stitches might be used for each element of design. I then fine tune the sketch with a more formal drawing. From here, to ensure conformity from canvas to canvas, I digitize the design using the program, Inkscape (This a free design program is a seriously awesome resource). Digitizing involves uploading my drawing and then basically digitally tracing it.

I am at the very start of my business journey and am hoping to find support and comradery in this community.
