Bio

I have been knitting since I was in middle school, really taking off with it while in college. My interest in textiles grew and grew and I found my way to weaving, first studying it in 2013 while studying abroad, and then taking a rigid heddle weaving class in 2018. I learned to weave on a floor loom in 2020 and just launched this year into being a self-employed artist. I prioritize sourcing my materials in a way that keeps them out of the waste stream, by searching and collecting when I’m traveling. This keeps everything I make one-of-a-kind and generally “small batch” which adds to the product value. I love making usable art, especially when working through my own stash of yarn and keeping waste low.
