Bio

After spending decades in the corporate world, Heather left to open a Local Yarn Shop and start the Midwest Fiber Festival. Heather began these projects simultaneously in late 2021. The first year of the festival was a great success with 85% of the vendors returning for year 2 and in 2023 the attendance was almost doubled with over 1,400 people coming through the doors. In January 2023, Yarncom officially opened their doors in their new home in Creve Coeur and has quickly been creating a community of fiber artists providing a variety of materials and tools as well as hosting stitch groups 4 days a week.
