Bio

Jackie Kaufman is a professional jeweler specializing in lost wax casting. She has been selling her jewelry worldwide and online since 2008. She considers herself an artist-entrepreneur, 50% art and 50% business.
Jackie was born in Swampscott, Massachusetts and moved to Florida to attend The University of Miami and started her business career. Her creative career started in the early 2000’s when she found her love of making and selling jewelry. Her pieces have been used in TV shows, and been in numerous catalogs and magazines.
She moved to St. Petersburg in 2013 for the vibrant arts community.
In 2018 she started a local arts and crafts group called The Mad Crafters with over 125 members. She taught most of the workshops and then transitioned into paid teaching at local arts centers and museums, and found a new love of teaching and inspiring others to create.
She is a lifelong learner and each summer travels across the country to participate in week-long workshops at different art schools, mostly on full scholarships. The workshops comprise many areas of craft study. She brings these new skills into her art and teaching community, many beyond jewelry.
In 2022 she received a grant for a public art project, collaborating with the Saint Petersburg Chess Club to create their own chess board by casting in pewter the pieces, and to highlight the club and chess in the St. Petersburg Community.
She was also chosen by The Dali Museum to be part of this years Dali Dozen. 12 local artists will show their work at The Dali Museum for a special night in December. It was quite an accomplishment.
This is an exciting time in her life where all of her passions are coming together to create meaningful arts and project that are important to her.
