Bio

Marsha A. Polk is proprietress of MAP Fiber Creations. Self taught, Marsha has been knitting, crocheting, weaving and making jewelry for over 30 years. In her own words “I select the finest materials from around the world and combine elements of color, texture, fiber and design to create unique items. The finished pieces are conversation-stopping works of wearable art.” Marsha is the author of Crochet Squared, a contemporary approach to the art of crochet. She received the Ohioana Author’s Award. Marsha has been a featured guest on PBS fiber arts programs and a presenter at Fiberworld 2021. Marsha’s work can be found in galleries, themed teas, trunk shows, specialty boutiques, crochetsquared.com, and by commission only. Marsha was a design member of The National Needle Arts Association and maintains membership with the Professional segment of the Crochet Guild of America. She is also a member of the American Craft Council, Craft Industry of America, and the Handweavers Guild of America. She led the creative design team at Fiberge’ and Knit On! fiber specialty shops.
