Bio

Hello! I’m Holly Knott, and I’m the sole proprietor and owner of Holly Knott LLC, based in the Berkshire Mountains in western Massachusetts. I specialize in website design and graphic design for artists, crafters and small businesses. Since 2004, I’ve created over 200 websites, as well as countless logos, business cards, artist gallery opening postcards, magazine ads, brochures, product labels, newsletters, illustrations for quilting patterns, quilt pattern layouts, etc. Special skills include software interface design, usability testing, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Affinity Publisher, vector graphics, blogs, social media, and especially the WordPress content management system.

Prior to 2004, I worked for Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ, for 17 years as a software interface designer and usability tester. Previously, I was also a co-owner of 2 artist co-ops in upstate NY for several years.

I’m also a published author and fine artist. My contemporary quilts have been exhibited nationwide, have won awards, and have been sold through various galleries. I’m the co-author of Quilted Garden Delights (2008, C&T Publishing) and I’ve written articles for quilting magazines including Quilting Arts. My work has been included in several publications such as 500 Art Quilts (2010, Lark Books). I also design and sell quilting, cross stitch and punch needle patterns. As a fine artist myself, my connection with fellow artists is strong as I understand their marketing needs and our industry.
