Laurel Garcia created My Casa Azul as a home for creativity and currently teaches a wide variety of virtual knitting classes in group and one on one settings. She began teaching by sharing her love of knitting with family, friends and her local community. Starting in 2020, she began teaching online with The Tea Cozy Yarn Shop, located in Seattle. She specializes in teaching the beginner knitter with her Taste of Knitting series that starts with a beginning knitting class and progresses in a succession of skill building projects up to a first sweater. In addition to teaching, she runs several fiber and knit groups with makers of all skills.
