Bio

I consider myself a ‘lacemaker’–my lace types that I study, design & teach are Tatting, & the Needle Laces of Teneriffe Lace, Romanian Point Lace, Carrickmacross Lace, & Filet Lace. I have published to date 9 advanced design books on tatting and am a manufacturer of sterling silver and glass/enameled tatting shuttles. I recently am creating a new business for my needle-lace techniques. So far I have large amount of work done on Teneriffe Lace with my production of 12+ complete kits complete with reusable loom and at least one design. My goal is to get these needle lace techniques out of the lacemaking world and into the needleworking and weaving worlds. I grew up in rural Nebraska sewing, embroidering and any fiber art technique I could get my hands on. I love to teach and travel.
