Bio

I’ve been a indie pattern designer for 13 years, with over 160 patterns and two stitch dictionaries published for loom knitters. I am legally blind and disabled, and began my journey as a designer when I was newly blind. Since then I have had the pleasure of working with the blind and visually challenged crafting community and have focused on creating visually accessible patterns and content. In recent years I’ve worked with knitting software companies, dozens of independent designers in knitting, crochet and loom knitting to create accessible patterns. Recently I have had the pleasure of working with Making Stories Magazine and Moorit Magazine as their Accessibility Editor.
