Christy Nelson is the owner of Mākit Tākit, a DIY craft studio located in Lincoln, Nebraska. A lifelong maker of all the things, she had a craft blog from 2004-2011, did freelance knitting and crochet patterns, ran a social media marketing business and eventually made her dream come true by opening her own 3,000 sf retail space in 2016 to share her love of making with the community. Christy is now using her experiences to help other like-minded creatives take the leap to make their own crafty dreams come true. When Christy isn’t at her store, she loves to Knitflix (knitting + Netflix), travel, find ways to embarrass her teenagers, and make lists.
