My guests on today’s episode are Claudine Hellmuth and Betz White, two fantastic indie designers with successful art businesses. We have a really fun conversation about our current favorite apps, blogs, tools, videos, recipes, subscriptions and more.

Claudine Hellmuth designs and illustrates printable boxes and kits that bring delight to customers young and old. She’s been featured in The New York Times, appeared on The Martha Stewart Show, HGTV, HSN, QVC UK, and The DIY Network. Her client list includes projects with major companies like Smart Car, Capitol Records and national publications such as The Saturday Evening Post.

When she’s not covered in paper, glue, and tape she’s walking her dog, Maggie, reading a book or enjoying a well deserved afternoon nap with her very fat cat Mabel. You can find her retro whimsical work online at CollageArtist.com.

Betz White has built a career on thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship and a focus on materials that are kind to people and planet alike. She is the bestselling author of two books that encourage readers to “stitch beautifully, tread lightly”, Warm Fuzzies (North Light, 2007) and Sewing Green (STC Craft, 2009).

You’ll find Betz teaching online at Craftsy and Creative Bug and on her blog.
